Free camping

You can camp for free overnight at many of the Nature Agency's sites.

With dogs in the countryside

In general dogs must be kept on a lead in the countryside. There are special woods for dogs where they can run free - provided your dog has been trained to come when called.

Camp fire sites

Cook your food over an open fire. The Danish Nature Agency's camp fire sites are available to everyone and need not be booked.

Horse-back riding and a riding pass

In general you are welcome to ride in all publicly owned forests. You must have a riding pass for the woods and forests around Copenhagen.

Nature playgrounds

Playgrounds built of nature's own materials.
